Silver with Black Graphic Lines
These pictures were taken at the Como Park Conservatory and Japanese Garden. We have been trying to photograph here many times this year but it is always packed with visitors. Since this week is a holiday, people have traveled north to resorts and cabins so it was fairly quiet on this beautiful day. Summer in Minnesota can be breathtaking if the weather is cool and adequate rain has fallen like this year.
I've been watching the clearance sales at Macy's and found these silver coated jeans for a great price. I'm always looking for something new and fun to try. I find I don't wear white tones often, but I am attracted to the shimmery quality of this silver fabric. I am planning to wear the jeans with a textured sweater and short boots in early fall.

Ann, you have such a knack for pairing your outfit with your surroundings! Como Park looks just beautiful and you look like you belong there. I'm in love with those silver jeans ;-)

The entire look of the first photograph: your outfit colors, textures, the minimal jewelry, the shoes, the glass, the tiles, and the beautiful flowers in the background are an example of how your artistic eye stunningly incorporates your clothing to your surroundings and to the life you live!
DeleteMy favorite part of blogging is matching my various styles of clothing to different places to photograph. Thanks for commenting.
DeleteWhat a beautiful location and a fabulous jacket. The coated jeans are a really cool touch.
ReplyDeletePerfect ensemble for a perfect location.
ReplyDeleteYou are so wonderful Anne.

Ann is it wrong of me to covet that jacket ;) ? You look gorgeous. The lighter, silvery tones look fabulous against your blonde hair and fair skin...it's illuminating. I think this is one of my favourite of your outfits so far. And once again your location is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThis outfit reminds me of your style. I could see you wearing this jacket also.
DeleteWhat a marvellous place to take fotos. I love how the pattern of the floor is repeated in the style of your jacket. The jacket is great, it looks like raw linnen - a fabric I appreciate.
ReplyDeleteLovely surroundings. Love your classic look.
ReplyDeleteIt's no secret that you have an artist's eye Ann. Your photos prove that time and time again. The repetition of the black trim on the jacket, the black straps on your sandals, down to the grout in the tile...even the window mullions on the greenhouse. Just want you to know that your thoughtfulness does not go unnoticed. You also have such a serenity and graciousness...your personality appears mirrored in your outfit today. Lovely!
ReplyDeleteMinnesota gardens are indeed breathtaking. Thanks for sharing.

DeleteOMG! So stunnig photos! Love the last one :)
ReplyDeleteIt´s like a picture from a fashion magazine. Your jacket is amazing. Love the thin black lines and the sandals with also thin black strapps.

DeleteI'm only sorry that I can not speak better english, so it´s a little bit hard to express myself accurately. However, I will continue to try and do my best :)
Beautiful outfit! Looking very elegant!

Awesome photos, and this is a wonderfull place!! I love your outfit!!
ReplyDeleteStunning! I love your sandals echoing the lines of the jacket, and the contrast between the geometric and the curves and colours in your photos. Thanks also for your warm comment, you are lovely inside and out.

Those are jeans? Gorgeous texture and perfect fit! Your look is elegant and still approachable - thanks so much for sharing with Visible Monday.
ReplyDeleteGreat choice on the jeans, they look as if they were made just for you. The simple pairings is so chic (but that is your signature). I can always count on you to show and tell how to look chic in every post. Love those Japenese gardens, I was able to attend them last year (with crowds) but enjoyed every breathtaking moment.
ReplyDeleteFun to hear you have seen these gardens. Thanks Trina for your supportive comments, they mean so much!
DeleteYou look great in those jeans! I can't wait to see what else you pair them with.
ReplyDeleteThe jeans are very unique and love the shimmer. Your silver with black graphic lines looks stunning with every location in the Conservatory. Another post of perfection!
ReplyDeleteWow... beautiful look and pics... I like your outfit from head to toe... amazing!

You have found another wonderful location for a post! The garden is spectacular in its beauty and the flowers in the first photo have very bright colours.
ReplyDeleteYour combination of jacket and pants is perfect on your slim body and the sandals adds a touch of extra elegance...
P.S.
I was afraid of not finding your blog anymore after the 1st of July, and you can't imagine how happy I am to find you here again! ( a little silly isn't it? )
Hard to express just how lovely I find this outfit, Ann. The graphic quality of the jacket and shoes is, as Judith says, perfection. Happy find, those great jeans! A lovely venue for you, and a gift for us! Thanks so much.
ReplyDeleteI was trying to figure out the color of these jeans... SIlver, how fun! The whole outfit is very chic, by the way.
ReplyDeleteLove the design and texture of the jacket. Its black decoration is in such harmony with the sandals. So chick and elegant look.
ReplyDeleteAnother great background. Beautiful outfit.
ReplyDeleteYou are beautifully stylish. I'm your newest UK follower :-)
