Silver Coated Jeans with Leather
With the Thanksgiving holiday next week here in the US, I decided to mix an outfit for the day that was casual yet festive. These jeans have a metallic coating so they read more dressy than a white jean. Paired with heels, a silk blouse and small colorful bag this outfit feels right for the day.
I've worn these pieces before on my blog. Since photographing my clothing I've seen what a difference accessories make to change an outfit. I picked up the booties by Vince Camuto (here) because the color is unusual. It seemed like I needed some accent color and a cranberry Calvin Klein bag (same bag, different colors) contrasted the shoes.

Simple and elegant! I agree, light jeans are more versatile, just right for being casual and sophisticated at the same time.
ReplyDeleteI love this look, Ann! The shoes and the jacket are fabulous. Classic, simple styling! Enjoy your weekend ahead!
ReplyDeleteI admire those booties, fabulous pair! The metallic jeans are a great addition to ones wardrobe, I think I need them as well, your outfit has a very nice edge!

Perfect Thanksgiving outfit. I love that color leather jacket with blonde hair. Do you mind sharing where you found that treasure?
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Hey thanks Debbie! This jacket is a Michael Kors piece I purchased at Macy's in Eau Claire. It must have been a return because I got it for a great price. Happy Thanksgiving to you.
DeleteI like your taste in matching colours and shapes, and you always wear clothes which fit you perfectly! the brown jacket and the light colour pants make a great combination!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes : accessories can make an outfit look different! I love your red purse...
I wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving day!!
I know you have great taste in accessories, this is something that first attracted me to your site. I appreciate your beautiful bags. I'm thinking about less clothing in the future and focusing more on accessories.
ReplyDeleteThose booties are insanely gorgeous with that jacket. Somewhere in the past few years, I lost the ability to navigate well in high heels, but you make me wish I could!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for commenting about this booties. I did this set of pictures twice. I first styled this with red booties to match the purse and didn't look so great, too much.
DeleteA great Outfit for thanksgiving. The silver coated jeans is very special an perfect for such a day. I never thought about a combination with silver and brown, but these looks gorgeous. And btw i´m in love with your booties. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat photos again. I love the location you found with the angled stripes.
ReplyDeleteYour coated jeans are cool. I have some and they look like leather.
bisous
Suzanne
These look like leather too. I think they are easier to wear than leather and more comfortable. Thanks for stopping by Suzanne.
DeleteI just love that bag!!

Ann, your photos are always wonderful, and your outfits, too. I like your casual look today, it is beautiful and very attractive. The pants will feel great, and the jacket is beautiful. The shoes seem to me cute. The color combination with the wall paint is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteFabulous look Ann, I LOVE the booties, also I love the pictures themselves…it is easy to guess that you are an artist as there is always such a beautiful feel to the photos you post :) one of a kind!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Beata
Thanks Beata, it was so windy and cold the day we took these pictures. I'm surprised they turnout OK. Wind is the enemy of taking pictures, a little is fine but this day we parked the car right beside me to keep my hair from flying everywhere.
DeletePerfect fall look! Loving that fabulous bag and those booties! Thanks for sharing with Three-fer Thursday!

It's funny, normally I don't like booties. Actually I like the look of them as a shoe, I just don't like them ON people because I feel that like flash of skin breaks the line of the leg. In this case, I like them. I am not sure if it's the repeat of color from the jacket or the length of the pant on you but they look very nice. ReplyDeleteI get what you are saying, it's cold here and pumps are a problem with pants. I looked at knee highs but that didn't seem to work either. I'm moving to more booties this season with skinny jeans. Thanks for stopping buy and commenting Shelley!
DeleteThose booties are yummy! The shape is oh so sexy. Do you really walk around in heels like that? I don't think I'd last very long, but I wish I could wear heels like that. Fabulous outfit all around!
ReplyDeleteThey are definitely a special event shoe. These shoes have a platform in the front so it makes the heel not as high as it looks.
DeleteSimple but so chic, I love it :-) Especially your booties!!!

Those shoes. That purse. Perfection!

I didn't know that brown and silver would look great together. But they do. And the cranberry bag makes this colour combination look even more interesting. Perfect, as always, Ann!
ReplyDeleteVery chic Ann, as always.

Love the pants! I am excited to see your Christmas outfit selections. Could you possibly show more than one to give idea's for people that have to attend several Christmas's. Love the blog, I read it every week!

Fun to see your comment here. Good thought, more Christmas ideas soon. Thanks so much for reading my blog every week. I enjoy hearing that friends in "real life" find my blog interesting especially a young gal like you!
DeleteThat's a really great look! And your pictures/setting is really cool.

Every pic is an statement of pure joy and inspiration, dear Anne.
ReplyDeleteI love the jacket soooooooooooooo much.
Love and sunshine weekend, my friend.

You have a very large and perfect shoe and bag collection. I have to remember this combination: red, silver, brown. These are things I cannot think of myself. I have the hardest time thinking up the third colour in an outfit. Besides the obvious: black & white and any other colour.
ReplyDeleteLooking perfect as ever in this outfit my dear and the photos are beautiful as usual.
I might be into a bit of luck.... I found a colleague who is a pretty good photographer and who thinks it is great fun taking pictures of me and my outfits on different locations.... I might get so lucky!!! We have just done our first shoot today.

Yes, I do have many pairs of shoes and a lot of bags. I'm still showing bags from years ago. I like to buy the best I can, most of the time they look good for a long time. Shoes seem to look dated faster. Good news that you have found a friend to take the pictures and they think it's fun. Looking forward to seeing them soon!
ReplyDeleteFor some reason I still have not received the photos. Strange...
DeleteThe colors are lovely and put what could be considered a simple outfit over the top. The location is fabulous for these colors, too. I love the way you and the photos look.
ReplyDeleteVery chic! I like the shape of those shoes. x

Is it Michael Kors jacket? I have the similar one in black shade and love it!!!! You always look so elegant, thank you for sharing with Monday Bloom!!!!
ReplyDeletehttp://dcinstyle.com/
Yes it is a Michael Kors jacket. Sounds like you enjoy yours too! Thanks for commenting.
DeleteNow that's my kind of Thanksgiving outfit. Although, do the jeans have some give to them (jk), because I usually eat and then sit, and then eat. I figure it's one day of the year. Love how you paired those jeans with the booties, and they are some great booties. Quick question, are they comfy also? I probably don't even need to add this because it's your artistic eye that most likely chose the red purse but that little bit of color totally changed the entire look of your outfit.
ReplyDeleteThanks Trina. The platform on the bottom helps. I do wish the heel was lower but it's the color I love. I like booties and I'm looking for colors other than black and brown.
DeleteI remember telling you that you'd look great in jeans and YES, you are! I love the booties, they look so elegant

Love this shot and the outfit. The pop of cranberry is a great accent to the brown and silver makes your outfit party ready! Love coated jeans - they look fabulous on you and I'm dying for a pair! I'm curious how it goes with washing them - will they hold up? Hmmm, silly me, asking about the practical side of a fun fashion piece!
ReplyDeletexo ~kim & chloe
A bought them for less than $20 on clearance last spring. I haven't washed them, but I thought they were cool so I took a chance. Glad you like these pictures. It was so windy this day.
Deletegod you are so chic! Love this look and you make it look ridiculously easy!

You look great in this outfit Ann! I love how you can show a basically simple outfit and yet add a color or accessory that really pops it
ReplyDeleteand makes it your own. I also wanted to wish you and your family a very Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving and to thank you for your earlier post showing us your studio and some of the wonderful art you and your husband create. Hopefully you will visit NYC for a craft show and I will get a chance to see all these wonderful pieces in person!
Thank you so much Rebecca for your warm regards. Happy Thanksgiving to you also, hope your day is peaceful and enjoyable. Thanks for all your comments this year. Your supportive remarks do make a difference to me.
DeleteLove those booties and how on earth do you find these gorgeous background for you photo shoots. Love it.
ReplyDeleteDaphne.
Thanks, this one is a block for my studio. I have to watch my driving because I'm always looking for the next location.
DeleteSimple and perfect, Ann. The red bag is fabulous too. Thanks for sharing with Visible Monday!
ReplyDeleteI've fallen behind over the holiday, so just catching up on your 'not to be missed' posts. You are very festive in this ensemble, and the boots deserve to be showcased, as you have so artfully done.
ReplyDeleteSilver ... so perfect. Never thought of brown, but all kinds of cool and unexpected. Boots to die for, such a delicate curve below your ankle ... Victorian erotica for some men I know, ahem. And a touch of gold, and then the red ... this is so you, Lovely Ann. What a treat.
ReplyDeleteWant those booties bad! Wish they still had my size!
