One Skirt, Worn Two Ways
I was taking some clothing to my local consignment shop and waiting the 20 minutes while the clerks made decisions on which items of mine to sell. Of course I looked around and of course, I found something I just had to bring home. This skirt is the kind of design I love, inky paints spots in a great color on a pencil skirt.
In this post I styled it two ways. One with a white trench and one with a deep navy jacket. One skirt worn two ways.

Ann - My single favorite thing in your post is that wonderful polka dot blouse you are wearing with your "new" skirt. Sure, the coat and jacket look great, but the pattern mixing with that blouse is fabulous.
ReplyDeleteThanks for saying that Jeanne. I just added the full picture of the polka dot blouse, point well taken.
DeleteI swear you are a pro model. This skirt is tremendous! I love how you paired it and such. Great job!!!
ReplyDeleteFab consignment find. I love that you have paired it with a smaller dot pattern in the one photo.
ReplyDeleteI can only assume that you had an extra pair of pants for the shoot since getting that shot of the skirt on it's own in the vines would mean you are partially naked : ) ...the sign of a true fashion blogger LOL.

Nice find! You've styled the skirt beautifully, Ann!
ReplyDeleteBoth ways look wonderful but I really find the combination with your navy jacket my favorite.
Gorgeous photos, too!
Thanks so much. Seems my blog has two types of members. Both the "arty" and the "classic" ladies--this post has something for each.
DeleteWhat a great skirt! I love the imky spots pattern, and I like how you've styled it both ways.
ReplyDeleteAlexa
Both ways are very chic, however the first is my favorite since I am a huge fan of mixing patterns.

That Ralph Lauren navy jacket is awesome Ann! Both outfits are my favourites, and I'm particularly impressed with how the polka dots go so perfectly with the skirt. Well Done!
ReplyDeleteSue xo
Such a pretty skirt! I like the second outfit best, maybe because the skirt gets more attention. I'm curious about the blouse, though. In an earlier comment you said you added a full picture of it, but I'm not seeing it. Maybe because I'm on a little netbook?
ReplyDeleteYou are right Val. I have a picture with the blouse and skirt but I had such a somber expression I put it on then took it off again. We take what seems like a ton of photos I thought I had it covered, but sometimes I see them on the screen and am disappointed.
DeleteLove the fun print of that skirt! I like the second outfit, paired with that zipped up jacket the skirt really pops.

Wow. That skirt would have gone home with me too. Love all your combis and that polkadot blouse is fab. But my favorite is the combination with the Ralph Lauren jacket. Perfect.
