Decorative Stitching

This place is a spot where couples and families have taken wedding photos for many years. Not so long ago Dean and I did the same. We were saving money for our down payment for our home, so every penny counted. Our dear friend Anne snapped some lovely photos as the director in me expressed ideas what angle to take them from. (Some things never change!)

One thing that has changed is my opinion concerning jeans. As a young person I wore them often and now for years they were not on the radar at all. They were either to long, to low rise or just wrong on my body. This past year I've gotten on the colored jeans bandwagon. Style and Co. jeans at Macys I just love. They are comfortable, reasonably priced and might be worth a try if your in the market for some new jeans.

  5. Beautiful jacket!! It looks something that Anthropologie would sell and therefore, I LOVE. I always admire the way you pose in your pictures. You look relaxed and natural and many times that's hard to achieve when posing in front of the camera.

  7. What a beautiful location for this stunning outfit Ann. Living in the heart of New York City, these photos are like eye candy for me. If the fashion magazines could show clothing like you do, I would enjoy reading them once again.

Love your red jeans too, and I agree with you about jeans, they weren't my cup of tea for years, but that new colorful jeans are appealing!

    1. I do remember the time when jeans were look down as a non-dressier alternative.
I wear jeans with concert tees or with dressier shirts all the time.I like the color ones as well, especially if they have the right fit and are made from a stretchy fabric.

The niche jacket design reminds me of a the design of the Eastern Europe traditional dresses and skirts.

I can see why this place is the host of weeding photos sessions, it's lovely!

  16. Ann, this setting looks like it just dropped out of a fairy tale, its so lovely. Most definitely my favorite of all times. The pop of white with the fence and your jacket ties in with the red, awe, its just breathless. I can see why it's a popular site for wedding photos.

  17. That is such a lovely jacket! I put Niche Jackets into google, as I wanted to see more by that company. Must have been a bad link, I landed in a boutique in Texas. Would you have any additional information on them?

Your styling is lovely, as always. Must be my second most favorite outfit on you.

    1. Thanks juli for stopping by. The jacket is from Anthropology and may I have the brand incorrect. It is at my studio and when I posted I guessed at what I thought the brand was. Check of the website for this store, they sell fun items-- worth a look.

  20. You do this red jeans proud by wearing them perfectly! The color is so rich and you look good in them too. Yes, finding a pair of good jeans can be a hassle and frustrating somehow. I stick to what I know and suits my body. I am aware that I am no skinny Vic Beckham type so I steer away from some brands and stick to some that suits me. Recently I found an affordable brand called American Eagle and their jeans fit me PERFECTLY and they cost nothing! Hope you'll find something that suits you as I'd love to see you in jeans sometimes!

  26. This is so gorgeous! I love the combination of red, white and blue. The embroidery on the jacket is really nice, and the red jeans give a really nice pop of color!

I don't wear jeans too much, usually just black skinny ones, but I'd definitely wear red ones like you have if I had a pair!
