With the coldest winter in 35 years, I'm experiencing spring fever! During the summer I wear dresses often and this one I purchased last month during the holidays sales. With temperatures often below zero and snow flying, spring feels so far away here in Minnesota. I find a printed wrap dress easy to wear and comfortable. This dress is the BCBG Adele Dress (here) which is a style I have worn before in another color last sumer. (here) I thought I would give myself a break from winter and do a post in anticipation of spring weather.
Today I'm wearing this dress with bone colored textured tights. I think this light color can add coverage and texture in the transition time before sandals without looking heavy and weighing down a dress. Floral patterns are a trend for this spring. Will you embrace some pattern as the weather changes?

What a gorgeous print and colour on that dress.
ReplyDeleteWrap dresses are so flattering.
I too wear textured tights for a bit more coverage. It is far too cold here for bare legs.
This winter has been the worst in my memory and I cannot wait for it to be over.

Lovely dress...I will be dress shopping this week and hope to have this type of success!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous pictures and what a lovely dress. Ann, you have great taste with clutches!

I was lucky to purchase several BCBG clutches before they were sent to the outlets. I think they are such unique designs and will be useful for a long time. I'm really liking how they mix with clothing these days.
DeleteInteresting, we had the warms winter in germany since many years. ;)
ReplyDeleteThe dress is pretty and i´m sure you will enjoy it in spring. I like your combination with the fishnets stockings.
Have a nice weekend

I did think of Monet when I saw this dress, thanks Suzanne for commenting.
DeleteLove the texture of those tights and that dress color suits you so well. The dress looks like it a pretty impressionist print.

Beautiful dress Anne, and the nude hose is perfect. If the weather is particularly cool I sometimes do two layers of nude hose for warmth:)
ReplyDeleteWrap dresses are just so classic, elegant and modern... so timeless. And the colours of this one are very flattering on you. You look gorgeous. And no patterns for me. Animal print is about the only 'pattern' I enjoy wearing at the moment but I have enough and no plans to add more :)
Thanks Deborah, good idea to do two layers of tights. I have not thought of this before.
DeleteA beautiful dress, love the stamping and I really like the design,
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning print, you look beautiful in this colour.
ReplyDeleteThis print is stunning! I love the photos. It's probably been the warmest winter in England. It's not even snowed!

Gorgeous dress! Love those tights!
ReplyDeleteThats really bad. I can remember the winter from last year in germany - the winter took ages and I believed he never stopps. And this year it is completely different. Today we have 15 Degrees Celsius and the sun is shining. But sorry, it's not nice from me, to tell something like that, if the weather in minnesota is like it is.
ReplyDeleteSo I come to the really important thing: Your nice dress. Especially the different color and flowers on the volant are sooo cool. Also perfect are the accessoires - the shoes and clutch matches perfectly together. Really great.
Every single detail in every shot is s piece of art, from your hair to your shoes.
ReplyDeleteWonderful always ANN

As Cla and Conny already mentioned, we had the mildest winter ever and it is already spring now.
ReplyDeleteWrap dresses are my favourite type and you can imagine how much I love your dress!
I wish I had your amazing collection of bags... :-)

I love the texture in the tights mimicking the texture in the shoes! And wrap dresses are some of my favorites - I don't need to add any curves, but they definitely hide some of mine :)

What a gorgeous dress for Spring, Ann, and the hose/shoes are perfect additions. Thanks for sharing with Visible Monday!
ReplyDeleteLovely, lovely dress and perfect color for you. Pairing the fishnet hose with it as well as those sparkly beautiful pumps was just brilliant, so very classy. Ann, it's always such a pleasure and inspiration reading your blog, thank you for the wonderful work you do.
ReplyDeleteThanks Trina, I enjoy your blog also and find your choices inspiring. I appreciate the positive feedback.
DeleteThat's a pretty dress and very 'spring' indeed! I need some new dresses for spring/summer and something with floral pattern might be cool as I don't wear them much. I adore how matching your purse and shoes are.. makes me wonder how big is your shoe closet?! :)

Very pretty, very feminine dress! Blue suits you so well, Ann! These photo shoot reminds me of a dance hall - I don't know why. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's interesting Natalia, a dance hall. It is a waiting area outside of a photographer's studio.
DeleteBeautiful wrap dress in the colours of the sea! And your nude coloured thights are very nice with it...I agree, it's time to wear lighter tights to have a spring look! ( even if spring seems to be still far away there! Hold on!! It will come!!!)
ReplyDeleteYour wrap dress is so pretty on you, it just says Spring. Your shoes and tights are perfect. Hope Spring comes soon to your area.

Your floral dress is the picture of spring, and I'm a fan of nude fishnets. Along with your shoes and clutch, this ensemble is perfection. It's always a pleasure to visit your artful and creative world!
ReplyDeleteLOVING that clutch!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are so the print and texture queen. Aren't you the Queen of Coats, too? Love the dress, but it wouldn't be the star that it is without your styling. This is why you should blog. You remind me every week that it's not the clothes but the woman in them.
ReplyDeleteWow Ann, that wrap dress in blue is a dream! Sabina OceanblueStyle
ReplyDeleteBeautiful dress and it suits you well. Personally I am not a ruffle lover, but that is just preference. I can still see and appreciate how lovely it is on you. The shoes and bag are magic to me and although different they seem such a good match.

The dress's print reminded me of an impressionist's painting! Beautiful! And I like wrap style of this dress, looks elegant and comfy. As always, an interesting and unusual bag and pretty shoes, Ann.
ReplyDeleteLove the dress, I need to come and get some of the blues out of your closet!! I am shopping for more blues, as I like it with my hair, but the dress color looks stunning with your hair color. I also love the clutch and the texture. Following you, I am enjoying your blog.
