White Blooming Trees
I've been thinking about this post for a while. I thought I would put together items that could be worn to a formal occasion using sportswear separates. I'm enjoying the lace trend this spring and find wearing it with a satin motorcycle style jacket feels right for me.
I had this outfit paired the snakeskin accessories but I think this salmon color looks snappy and vibrate. I found these shoes at my local consignment shop for $8!
Thanks to you that joined by site this week. All of your comments are such an encouragement to keep sharing my point of view.

One Skirt, Worn Two Ways
I was taking some clothing to my local consignment shop and waiting the 20 minutes while the clerks made decisions on which items of mine to sell. Of course I looked around and of course, I found something I just had to bring home. This skirt is the kind of design I love, inky paints spots in a great color on a pencil skirt.
In this post I styled it two ways. One with a white trench and one with a deep navy jacket. One skirt worn two ways.

Summit Avenue
These pictures were taken on the steps of one of the several cathedrals on the jewel of a street called Summit Avenue in St. Paul, Minnesota. One hundred years ago the wealth of my region was made by the lumber business. Old growth trees were harvested and floated down the great Mississippi River to build many cities along it's banks all the way to New Orleans. The harvest of this resource resulted in great wealth and many of these families built exquisite homes along this street.
Before we purchased our home, Dean and I lived in a tiny apartment on Summit Avenue. Every day I drove down this tree lined street and delighted in the incremental observation of the seasonal changes and beautiful architecture.
