My local consignment shop, Turnstyle in Roseville, Minnesota, began it's summer clearance last week and I picked up three dresses and some patent leather items. I remember a few years ago noticing this bag at Macy's and I'm happy to give these shiny accessories a try for a great price. I wear this dress often when I don't know what to wear especially in the warm summer months. I've worn it in all seasons with tall boots, short boots, a red coat, wrap sweaters and denim jackets.......(you get the picture, the list goes on.)
This dress is probably 8 or 9 years old and it's pilling on the back side of the fabric. I didn't know knit jersey could pill? It seems so hard to find a dress that has sleeves or a hemline at the knee these days. I will keep it in rotation as long as possible because it's one of my most comfortable and favorite items.

These pictures were taken at the Como Park Conservatory and Japanese Garden. We have been trying to photograph here many times this year but it is always packed with visitors. Since this week is a holiday, people have traveled north to resorts and cabins so it was fairly quiet on this beautiful day. Summer in Minnesota can be breathtaking if the weather is cool and adequate rain has fallen like this year.
I've been watching the clearance sales at Macy's and found these silver coated jeans for a great price. I'm always looking for something new and fun to try. I find I don't wear white tones often, but I am attracted to the shimmery quality of this silver fabric. I am planning to wear the jeans with a textured sweater and short boots in early fall.
